summary: Allow @ sign in username
class: bug: This is clearly an actual problem we want fixed.
difficulty: fun: Just needs tuits, and not many of them.

We should consistently allow an '@' sign to be included in the username.
(Some hosting companies appear to have usernames of the form
'user@example.com'.)
